Development Progress: Just Chattin'
Hello everyone! I'm sorry I missed last week's post, and unfortunately, I don't have much to share this week either. I've recently gotten a new job with a different schedule, which has made it difficult to work on the game, but I wanted to make some sort of post with my plans for the next Update. So here it is!
Animation Gallery:
Something that I've wanted to do for a while, seeing as it's in most other games, but haven't given myself the time to work on. The Gallery will be a new room within Serath's Refuge where you'll be able to watch monster animations you've seen and replay cutscenes you've watched.
Level Skip:
Another feature I've been thinking about for a while. With every Update that adds content the Second Circle gets bigger and takes longer to play through, making it harder to access new content. To alleviate this, I'm going to add a menu to Marga at the beginning on the game that will let you skip to a chosen level and give you some Souls and equipment to make up for the skipped content.
Story:
Aside from the opening cutscene and some added side quests, the game's story has been relatively bare bones. In the next Update, I plan to greatly expand the main story and provide more interactions with characters both in Serath's Refuge and in the world at large.
Exploration:
One of the things I'd like to do is make the game worth exploring. The collectibles and items in the game do this to a certain extent already, but I believe added things like secret areas, puzzles, and new characters in the world will make for more rewarding exploration. This content may take a few Updates to be fully implemented, depending on how complex it ends up being.
Combat:
This one's a bit trickier, and again may require more than one Update to implement, but I'm aware the combat can currently feel a bit one-note. There are obviously going to be additions and changes to the combat as the game is further developed, but in the near future, I would like to add more weapon types (Vaginal, Anal, Oral) and give spells different effects depending on which weapon type was used to cast it.
Those are the main points for now. I still plan on doing previews once a week, but just know that they may not always fall on the same day as before. This week, the Preview is going to end up releasing on Thursday, so stay tuned!
